Nothing is everything.

Everything is never nothing though, and a little bit of something is almost always better than a whole lot of nothing. However, sometimes it's better to have nothing than to have something you really don't want.

  1. This is both confusing and enlightening - how very zen of you. And Pete Townshend-esque as well.

  2. I did indeed have the voice of Pete singing "nothing is everything" from the Who's "Let's See Action" as I wrote this post. Pete was a follower of the spiritualist Meher Baba (yes, his name inspired the song title "Baba O'Riley") and I can only assume Baba is where Pete picked up the thought that "nothing is everything." And, if Wikipedia can be believed, Meher Baba was also the inspiration for Bobby McFerrin's hit "Don't Worry Be Happy." Go figure.
